Guide: Noriko Shigehara
Route: (1st Evening) Akasaka, Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, (2nd Day) Asakusa, Hamarikyu Gardens, Tsujiki Fish Market, Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, Odaiba Island.
Dear Tokyo Free Guide,
I wanted to take a minute to send a sincere thank you! Noriko Shigehara was an excellent guide, and without her help we would have seen only 1/100th of what she arranged for us to see in Tokyo. Noriko not only helped us become acquainted with Japanese culture when we arrived, but she also helped guide us through our transportation from the airport to the hotel prior to our arrival. She lead us to an excellent Izakaya (introducing us to some new dishes, and cold sake!!! We thought it was only served warm…but quality chilled sake…what a revelation!), the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Asakusa, a ferry ride to the Hamarikyu Gardens for Japanese tea, sushi at the Tsujiki Fish Market, Harajuku, the Meiji Shrine, and finally a monorail ride to Odaiba Island in the evening.
Noriko’s english is excellent, and she seemed to be able to answer almost any question we posed to her. We truly had an amazing day and a half with Noriko and we hope that she will visit us in Maryland, and Washington D.C. in the future!
Noriko is an outstanding representative for your group, and she has convinced us that we would like to make many more visits to Japan in the future.
Way to go Tokyo Free Guide!!!
