Guide: Kawachi, Naomi and Lizzy
Route: Nezu – Yanaka – Ueno
Anyone traveling to Tokyo should consider this service. As we discovered, with the assistance of our guides we were able to experience a personal insight into life in Tokyo today, its people and culture.
We spent the day strolling the back streets of Nezu and Ueno and was it not for our guides we would have merely been onlookers in this amazing city. Kawachi, Naomi and Lizzy were able to enrich our experience by offering their insights into the areas we visited. They spoke about Japanese culture, about lifestyles but most importantly about themselves. And it is this personal touch that made our day truly the highlight of our holiday.
Kawachi, Naomi and Lizzy thank you so much for making it a memorable experience.

Route: Kamakura; Anyo-in – Ankokuron-ji – Chosho-ji – Raigo-ji – Jisso-ji – Kuhon-ji – Kotoku-in (Daibutsu); Chinatown in Yokohama
Hello we are Esteban and Jordi from Barcelona in Spain.
We find the Tokyo free guide website searching the internet while planning our trip to Japan. It was our first time in Tokyo and We plan to see some nice place in the surroundings. We send an email to Kawachi and he propose us to go to kamakura. We spend a great day in Kamakura and Yokohama with Kawachi and Shu-shu.
In Kamakura we went to lot of temples and to the big Buda. Later we spend the afternoon in the Chinatown in Yokohama. After all the day sightseeing we went to Shu-shu’s favourite’s restaurant where we recover strength enjoying tasty dishes.
We really enjoyed Kawachi and Shu-shu’s company they are lovely persons and very good guides. If you are planning to visit Tokyo we highly recommend to contact Tokyo Free Guide. You can have a good time, a new experience to remember and, who knows? maybe new Japanese friends.

Guide: Kiyomi
Route: Harajuku – Tsukiji – Kasumigaseki – Shinjuku
The second day, I was accompanied by Kiyomi to see the modern side of Japan. We went to Harajuku (Japan’s teenager capital), fish market, Parlemen House, went up to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office building (45th floor) and book shop. She also introduced me other traditional foods and sushi, which was also very yummy. I really enjoyed my time with Kiyomi as she has visited Sydney before. We have very good conversation comparing Japan & Australia cultures, foods, life style, etc. Finally, I highly recommend everyone to experience Tokyo Free Guide. It’s unforgotten and invaluable experience you can’t miss.

Message from Ali
I am Stephen Lee or Ali from Sydney, Australia. In Spring 2006,
I travelled to Japanfor three weeks. I travelled alone and visited many places from Tokyo,Matsumoto, Nagoya, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji, Hiroshima, Himeji for two weeks. The third week
I stayed back in Tokyo and I had a chance to experience Tokyo Free Guide (TFG). Even during Japanese public holiday (Golden week),
TFG was very kind to me by sending two of their guides for two days.
The first day, Kawachi & his friend, Shu-shu took me to Kamakura area. We visited Kenchoji temple, Kamakura market street, Hachimangu, Bamboo temple and Great Buddha. They also took me to try Japanese traditional foods, which was very delicious. All the way, they explained to me the history of the places we visited and also Japanese cultures.
I really enjoyed their companion - they don't like tourist guides, but more like friends to me
(Continue to Tokyo trip with Kiyomi)
